Sharon Plattner

Sharon spent nearly 30 years in commercial real estate finance.  She worked her way from  banking analyst at a regional outpost of LaSalle Bank on the northwest side of Chicago to Senior Vice President & Director of Production/Sales of a privately owned commercial real estate services company, with her office just steps from the Treasury Department in Washington DC.  Her impressive list of employers include: LaSalle Bank (dba Bank of America), Freddie Mac, Morgan Stanley, Washington Properties, Berkadia and NorthMarq. Sharon spent the majority of her career working for or with Freddie Mac, including running Production for the largest multifamily deal at the time totaling $5.1 Billion in financing.  She later went on to directly finance $1.0 Billion of that portfolio while at Berkadia.

Sharon is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Finance and has a Master’s degree in Information Systems from DePaul University.

Sharon is one of the Co-Founders of RENEW.  This is her ninth and final year on the Board.  She has served as Co-President from 2017 – 2021, Advisor in 2022, Vice President of Technology from 2023 to mid-2024 and Co-President from mid-2024 thru 2025.
